ITS uses DHCP to configure most devices on the LSU network. A user must first register their device via
NetReg to obtain a working IP address.

ITS uses DHCP to configure most devices on the LSU network. A user must first register their device via NetReg to obtain a working IP address. For static reservations refer to the reference "Static IP Reservations" under related links below.
Eligibility
Any user with a MyLSU ID can register a computer. Students get 3 unique registrations. Faculty and Staff get 5 unique registrations.
Guests to campus should contact their sponsor (faculty or staff) in order to receive a temporary ID via NetGuest.
Ordering & Request Procedures Forms or Links
Immediate upon registration of the computer or device.
Delivery Timeline or Response Time
Immediate access to registration site upon connection to the network. Once device is registered, immediate access to entire network.
