Windows 10: Editing the Registry
Editing the Registry in Windows 10:
Once in a while, the user may find it necessary to edit the registry to change Windows 10 configuration.
- NOTE: Before any registry editing, make sure to back up all entries within the registry.
1. Open the Start menu and type "run" into the search box.
2. Select the program "regedit" from the list of options displayed.
3. In the Run line, enter “regedit” (without quotes). Click OK.
4. The Registry Editor will now open. In this registry, the user can now navigate every registry entry within the system's folders and sub-folders. After finding the entry to be edited, right-click on its registry folder. A drop down menu of potential options will now appear.
