K2 Changes To Support Campus Specific Accounts and Modern SSO
As part of ongoing modernization efforts with Single Sign-On (SSO) and Identity Access Management (IAM), LSU’s K2/BPM application offerings are being methodically migrated on an application-by-application basis to leverage an upgraded SSO process (much like Microsoft Teams and LSU E-mail are currently). Some common K2/BPM applications in use at LSU that will be affected include: Workday Security Access Request, Inventory Management/Scanning, LOBA Budgeting, Financial Data Model (FDM) Translation, and the LSU BPM portal.
During this transition, users will be required to select which login provider to use based on the desired application while signing into K2. Applications leveraging the “Modern Provider” option will require you to log in using your campus-specific email address, while the “Legacy Provider” option will continue to require the “lsu.edu” email address. Each login provider option on the log-in screen will state which processes are supported by that provider, and the screen will be updated as applications are migrated to reflect the required provider choice for each application.
Below is the current K2 login page:

Currently, the following K2/BPM applications have been migrated to the modern SSO provider and will therefore require the user to select the "Modern (NEW) Provider" option upon log-in:
- Inventory Scanning/Management
All other processes you should use the Legacy (OLD) Provider.
