Setting up a Network Printer on Campus

This article has not been updated recently and may contain dated material.

There are different options to set up a printer, depending on whether you live in a Residential Hall, or just on campus.

1. If the port for the printer hasn't already been put on the printer Vlan, put in a New Service Request. This will require a Budget Code; however, the Service is Free.

Detailed instructions on how to put in a new service request.

2. Create a reservation in BlueCat for the printer in the correct subnet.

3. Make sure the printer is set to use DHCP. You can check the User Manual that came with your printer to see how to do this.
